FOUR women have appeared before magistrates over charges of neglect and cruelty to pet cats.
Two of the defendants, Dawn Mawson, 48, and Sabrina Mawson, 22, both of Underwood House, Bradford, have pleaded guilty to two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to cats, failing to ensure a suitable environment and failing to ensure a suitable diet.
Elizabeth Mawson, 24, of Durkheim Court, Bradford, and Elisha Mawson, 21, of Wycliffe Gardens, Shipley, have pleaded not guilty to two count of causing unnecessary suffering to cats and one charge of failing to ensure a suitable diet.
They now face a trial at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court, on November 9. The two women that have pleaded guilty will be sentenced following the outcome of the trial.
The prosecution is being brought by the RSPCA.
