THERE has been a huge emergency response in Brighouse this afternoon, following unconfirmed reports that a child got into difficulty in the River Calder.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance, West Yorkshire Police and West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service have all been at the scene - near Armytage Road - according to witnesses.
Emergency services are believed to have first arrived there shortly after 2.30pm.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance was contacted for a comment, although said it was unable to give one at this time.
West Yorkshire Police has also been contacted for a comment.
