A NUMBER of people have appeared in court in Bradford over the past two weeks charged with drink driving offences.

The defendants, who have appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court, have faced a range of punishments including driving bans, licence points, fined and unpaid community work.

  • Ahtsham Jubbar, 44, of Middlebrook Drive, Bradford, has been given 10 driving licence points, fined £83, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs for being in charge of motor vehicle - alcohol level above limit, on Thornton Road on December 13, 2020, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 41 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
  • Wesley Howe, 40, of Elmsley Street, Steeton with Eastburn, was given 10 driving licence points, given a community order, including 100 hours unpaid work in the community, ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge, £85 costs, in Silsden on April 25, 2021, were in charge of a motor vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 91 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
  • Gareth Taylor, 34, of Railway Street, Bierley, Bradford, was disqualified from obtaining, or holding, a driving licence for 22 months, fined £373, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs for driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit, in Railway Street, Bierley on January 16, 2021, drove after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 74 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
  • Ugis Feldman, 42, of Winrose Close, Wyke, Bradford, was disqualified from obtaining, or holding, a driving licence for 14 months, fined £403, ordered to pay a £40 victim surcharge, £85 costs, for driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit, on Hutton Road, Bradford, on January 24, 2021, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 53 microgrammes exceeded the prescribed limit.
  • Stephen Dalby, 69, of Granville Street, Bradford, was disqualified from obtaining, or holding, a driving licence for 12 months, fined £150, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs for driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit, on Listerhills Road, Bradford, on February 10, 2021, drove after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 44 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
