A BRADFORD man has been sentenced after carrying a BB gun.
Ryan Scott, 21, of Mount Grove, Little Horton, is said to have been in possession of the imitation firearm, a self-loading BB pistol, and ammunition "without lawful authority or reasonable excuse in a public place."
The offence was committed on November 11, 2018 on Bradford Road in Cleckheaton.
He appeared before Kirklees Magistrates Court on May 12, 2021 and was discharged conditionally for 12 months after eventually changing his plea to guilty.
Magistrates also ordered the defendant to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
The £105 balance will be paid at £20 per month.
West Yorkshire police have since destroyed the weapon.
