A YORKSHIRE veterinary groups has recruited its 300th team member following an impressive period of growth.
White Cross Vets, which has its headquarters in Guiseley and a practice in Eccleshill, is planning to recruit a further 50 people across its 22 practices over the next 12 months.
White Cross Vets’ people manager, Hannah Wilkinson, said: “White Cross Vets was originally started in 1937 by one of the UK’s most pioneering female vets, Christine Woods. She and her subsequent business partners would be very proud to know that of our 300 team members, 90 per cent are women."
Veterinary nurse Philippa Brown, the 300th team member, said: "With an emphasis on creating the best experience for pets and their owners and a commitment to the wellbeing of its people, the values of compassion, kindness and first-rate veterinary treatment really appealed to me."
