HEATING engineers in Bradford can access Baxi apprenticeship funding and support when they take on an apprentice in 2021.

Working in conjunction with local Leeds College of Building, Leeds, Baxi, the UK boiler manufacturer, is offering to pay the college fees for the gas engineering apprentices of Baxi Approved Installers.

Not only will successful applicants enjoy fully-funded education, Baxi will also provide branded workwear, personal protective equipment (PPE), free Baxi product/specialist training, work experience with a Baxi engineer and a factory tour.

To take advantage of the Baxi apprenticeship scheme, approved installers need to put their apprentices forward for the scheme by June 13.

The successful candidates will be invited for interviews in July and offers will be made in August, before the course starts at Leeds College of Building in September.

Steve Owen, National Training Manager at Baxi, said: “We’re proud to offer West Yorkshire based heating engineers and their apprentices a fantastic opportunity to get ahead.

“Hiring an apprentice is a valuable route to employment for many young people, and we find that those who hire an apprentice also benefit greatly from training up their apprentice to become a valued member of their own team.

“With this in mind, there has never been a better time for local approved installers to hire an apprentice and apply.

“As part of our responsibility as a manufacturer, we believe it is of great importance to help the next generation of heating engineers ready for a sustainable, low-carbon future. We are committed to promoting diversity in the heating industry and encourage apprentices of any background to apply and reap the rewards of having a trade to enter the world of work with.”
