This year has brought its challenges, but as the saying goes, ‘where flowers bloom, so does hope’ and the managing director of Czajka Care Group, which owns and operates five local care and nursing homes, is feeling very hopeful for the rest of 2021.

Czajka Care Group’s managing director, Konrad Czajka, said: “The pandemic has been a very trying time for so many people, but being able to now have the families of our residents visit in person has been such a boost for us all. Life in our homes is slowly returning to normal and we are currently in a position to welcome new residents into our popular Yorkshire homes.”

Czajka Care Group provides full-time care, respite care and end of life care for people aged 65 and over at Fairmount Nursing Home and Brookfield Care Home in Nab Wood, Shipley and Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton and Beanlands Nursing Home in Cross Hills.

Czajka Care Group is also home to two thriving retirement communities at Fairmount Park in Nab Wood, where there are 37 houses and apartments, and at Currergate Mews in Steeton, where there are 14, three-bedroom houses.

Konrad added: “The fact that our residents can now leave the homes for trips, including walks and garden visits, without having to self-isolate for 14 days when they come back is fabulous news. The ongoing vaccination programme, and all the safety procedures we follow, has made everyone feel much more confident and our residents are really enjoying springtime, despite the changeable weather!

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

“Recent activities at our homes have included planting up pots and tending to our specially built raised flower beds and vegetable patches, which are wheelchair friendly. We take great pride in the grounds of our homes and often get complimented on our immaculate gardens. Our residents and their families particularly enjoy walking round the grounds, sitting and relaxing at our outdoor picnic tables and benches and being able to access all of the amenities at The Clubhouse.”

The Clubhouse at Fairmount Park has undergone an extensive refurbishment whilst it was closed during lockdown, and its gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, snooker room, bar, restaurant, boardroom facilities, private function suite, bowling green and putting green are now open.

Konrad added: “We are currently running a free week trial membership offer for The Clubhouse in May and June, which normally costs £34 per month or £64 for the year on a social membership basis, so now is a great time to come and try out the fabulous facilities.”
