A violent rapist has been jailed for 19 years.

Tim Baker plied a victim with cocaine before carrying out a sexual attack.

Another victim, who was not sexually assaulted, was physically attacked, the court heard.

Both victims were left severely psychologically damaged.

Baker, 31, whose address was given as HMP Leeds, was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court today.

The trial judge, Recorder Tahir Khan QC, said Baker had previous convictions for offences of violence.

Baker was also sentenced for dangerous driving around Bradford in a Mercedes C200 at speeds of up to 100mph on February 17, 2019.

One of the victims told the court they were left physically and emotionally scarred and with terrifying flashbacks.

Baker was a danger to anyone he might enter into a future relationship with, Recorder Khan said.

He had blamed the victims in his probation report and was in a high level of denial with no victim empathy.

Baker’s barrister, Kitty Colley, conceded that a significant prison sentence must follow because it was “an extremely serious case.”

She urged the court to have the totality guideline at the forefront when fixing the length of the jail term.

Miss Colley said Baker had undergone courses while in prison on remand for the past 18 months as “a small step” to address his offending behaviour.

He had issues of anger dating from childhood that had never been dealt with.

A six-year extended licence period was imposed and Recorder Khan made a sexual harm prevention order.
