WET weather and pitch black driving conditions didn't stop two drivers acting "like they were in Wacky Races" overnight on the M62.
Both motorists were caught driving in excess of 100 miles per hour by traffic cop Martin Willis, known as Motorway Martin on Twitter.
The first driver caught was clocked at 109mph, while the second was driving at 102mph.
PC Willis said: "The M62 is like wacky races tonight!"
In response, other Twitter users branded the drivers "muppets", "absolutely irresponsible", and "ridiculous".
Driving at more than 100mph on the motorway sees the guilty driver handed six points or a driving ban, as well as a hefty fine.
