A WANTED man spat in a police officer's face and claimed to have "AIDS, Hepatitis C and Covid".
Leeds Special Constabulary posted on Twitter this morning about a male the team was dealing with who was wanted on a warrant.
The man became verbally abusive while he was in a police van.
He then proceeded to spit in the vehicle and in an officer's face.
The man followed this up by claiming he has "AIDS, Hepatitis C and Covid".
Police charged the man, as a result.
Leeds Special Constabulary said on Twitter: "Male wanted on warrant becomes verbally abusive.
"Decides to spit in the van and spit in an officer's face.
"Then claims to have Aids, Hep C and Covid.
"Nobody has the right to be spat at.
"Charged."
