TEN people have appeared in court over the past month charged with drink driving offences.

The defendants, who have appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court, have faced a range of punishments including driving bans, fined and unpaid community work.

  • Joanne Mitchell, 36, of Wycoller Road, Wyke, was disaqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 24 months, fined £440, ordered to pay a £44 victim surcharge and £85 costs for driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit on December 26, 2020 at Appleton Academy, Woodside Road, Nursery and Lower Primary School, Bradford, namely Woodside Road, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 86 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
  • Atif Anjum, 35, of Holly Park Drive, Bradford, has been fined £161, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and £85 costs for being in charge of motor vehicle with an alcohol level above the limit on Reevy Avenue, Bradford, on November 11, 2020, recording 92 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
  • Alex Riddington, 35, of Main Street, Wyke, Bradford, was fined £80, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for being in charge of a motor vehicle - alcohol level above limit on Ford Hill, Queensbury, on February 7, 2021, recording 59 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
  • Katarzyna Sawczuk, 39, of Merton Road, Bradford, was disqualified from driving for six months, fined £186, ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs for being in charge of motor vehicle with an alcohol level above the limit on Spring Place, Bradford, on October 25, 2020.
  • Thomas Connors, 30, of Glen Road, Morley, was disqualified from driving for 14 months, fined £100, ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs for driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit on Leeds Road, Bradford, on February 5, 2021.
  • Celene Fairweather, 38, of Northgate, Cleckheaton, was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 18 months, fined £162, ordered to pay £200 costs and a £32 victim surcharge for driving a driving on Odsal Road, Bradford, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 79 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
  • Joshua Kelly, 26, of Busfield Street, Bradford, was disqualified from driving for 23 months, ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work in the community for the next 12 months, ordered top pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs for driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit on Bowling Hall Road, West Bowling, Bradford, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 105 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
  • Stevie Robinson, 31, of Whinney Hill Park, Brighouse, was disqualified from driving for 16 months, fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs for driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit on Rooley Avenue and Rooley Lane on February 28, 2021, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
  • Jack Thornley, 20, of Chestnut Fold, Radcliffe, Greater Manchester, was disqualified from driving for 20 months, fined £120, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs for driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit on Bowling Old Lane, Bradford, on April 16, 2021, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 65 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
  • Steven Suddick, 43, of Manchester Road, Bradford, was disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined £120, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs for driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above the limit, at Odsal roundabout, between Halifax Road and Rooley Avenue, on December 15, 2020, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 79 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
