AN APPLICATION for the continued siting of a cabin providing welfare facilities for volunteers at Bradford’s Undercliffe Cemetery has been made to Bradford Council
The cabin, along with a container providing secure storage, are sited behind the perimeter wall.
A conservation comment on the proposals states that the two structures are
‘discretely sited behind the perimeter wall and in a location distant from the main historic core of the cemetery.’
It continues: ‘The benefits afforded to the essential continued maintenance of the site offset any very minor harm to the significance of the heritage asset.’
The cemetery is a conservation area and contains a number of listed monuments.
