A MAN who won a TV travel challenge has raised more than £11,000 as he enters the final few days of a 200km run during Ramadan.

Emon Choudhury, who won BBC Two's Race Across the World last year, is looking to raise £100,000 to build a school for disadvantaged children in Nepal.

He is entering the last leg of his running challenge which will end on May 12.

It is the first fundraising event he will hold between now and October 3 when he takes part in this year's London Marathon.

Emon, 37, of Saltaire, has been holding separate runs of between 5km and 10km each day over the last month, including along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal towpath between Saltaire and Bingley.

He has been keeping to Ramadan requirements of fasting during the day.
