POLICE have stopped the sale of fake aftershave and perfume in a town centre.
Plain clothes officers were in Huddersfield town centre last Friday when they put a stop to fake items being sold to members of the public.
The items were aftershaves and perfumes and included the brands, Paco Rabanne, Dior, Chanel and Emporio Armani.
Police warned people against buying such products, as it may be supporting criminality and could even be unsafe.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Plain clothes officers have stopped the sale of a number of fake items in the town centre.
"It may seem like a good idea at the time but you are supporting criminality and are they safe to use?"
Several members of the public responded on social media to say they had been offered the products while wandering round Huddersfield town centre.
