Acclaimed Bradford theatre company to host playwriting course this summer
ACCLAIMED Bradford theatre company Freedom Studios will host an eight-week ‘Introduction to Playwriting Course’ this summer.
The company would love to hear from interested applicants who must be 18 or over and with little or no experience of writing for the screen or theatre.
The course, run by BAFTA-nominated television writer Lisa Holdsworth, will focus on the basics of theatre writing including character, story, structure, plot development, writing realistic dialogue and theatricality.
The sessions will run via Zoom on Mondays from 7pm to 9pm on the following dates June 7, 14, 21 and 28 and July 5, 12, 19, and 26.
The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Monday, May 17.
