YORKSHIRE and Yeadon cricketer Jordan Thompson is encouraging children and young people living with diabetes to take part in a competition launched by Diabetes UK.
The competition, which has now opened and runs until May 31, asks young people with diabetes and their families to express what the condition means to their day to day lives - whether it is through a picture, poem, song or sculpture.
Jordan, 24, an all-rounder for Yorkshire County Cricket Club who lives with type 1 diabetes, said: “This year has been especially tough for young people with diabetes.
"Sharing experiences and expressing what it’s really like to live with diabetes can not only raise awareness but also help other people living with the condition.
