POLICE have issued an update following the death of a woman in a Bradford park.
This evening, West Yorkshire Police said they were treating her death as an "isolated non-suspicious incident".
Police were called to reports of concern for safety in the Myra Shay Park area, Barkerend, at around 9.20am on Monday.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Officers attended and found the body of a female.
"Formal identification procedures have yet to take place in regards to the discovery and a file will be prepared for the attention of HM Coroner in due course."
Yesterday a white forensics tent was erected around the scene and a larger area was taped off as white-suited forensics teams scoured the area. Police cars blocked all entries to the footpath.
According to unconfirmed reports the woman had suffered horrific burns.
It is understood that people witnessed the incident and tried to save the woman before emergency services arrived.
A police scene remained in place today.
