TWO councillors have spoken about the "tragic loss of life" after the body of a woman was found in the Myra Shay area of Bradford on Monday morning.
The body was discovered on a footpath near Bradford Moor Golf Club at 9.20am, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
"I'm sorry to hear about the loss of life in the Myra Shay area," said Cllr Mohammed Shafiq (Lab, Bradford Moor).
"It's quite a tragic incident," said Cllr Zafar Iqbal (Lab, Bradford Moor). "It's quite sad news for the community.
"The community is trying to come to terms with this.
"The police have been in touch and they said they are working with the family.
"My thoughts are with the family."
Cllr Shafiq added: "Anybody that has any information should contact the police so that it will lead to a successful investigation."
