COUNTER terrorism police are continuing to search a property in Keighley, as they have been granted more time to question five suspects arrests at the weekend.
Officers from Counter Terrorism Policing North East arrested five people on Saturday on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
Those arrested included two men aged 29 and 30 and a 28-year-old woman from Keighley, as well as 16-year-old boy from Swindon and a man, 28, from Anglesey.
Police have been granted a warrant of further detention to continue questioning the suspects, meaning detectives have until Saturday, May 8, to detain and question them.
Searches are ongoing at an address in Keighley today. On Saturday, searches had to be postponed as the bomb squad were called in and houses evacuated, but residents could return home later that day.
Counter Terrorism Policing said the people had been arrested in relation to an investigation into suspected far right extremism.
