AN application has been submitted for an alcohol licence and entertainment at Black Dyke Mills.

The application for a variation of premises licence has been submitted to Bradford Council by Queensbury Community and Action Partnership for premises at Unit 23 at the Brighouse Road mill complex.

The application is for the sale of alcohol between 6pm and 11pm Monday to Friday and between 1pm and 11pm Saturday and Sunday, and to add the provision of live music and plays on Mondays between 6pm and 11pm.

Representations should be made in writing to the Licensing Team, Argus Chambers, Hall Ings, Bradford, BD1 1HX by May 17. Anyone wishing to inspect the Licensing Register may do so at the above address between 9am and 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4.30pm on Fridays.

Other public notices issued by Bradford Council this week are:

* Temporary closure of Piccadilly, Dale Street and Duke Street in Bradford for demolition works to be carried out.

The order will introduce restrictions on one way traffic on Dale Street and Duke Street from its junction with Piccadilly to its junction with Dale Street.

Alternative routes for traffic will be via Kirkgate, Dale Street, Duke Street, Piccadilly (unaffected section) Upper Piccadilly, Manor Row, Cheapside and vice versa.

The order remains in force until October 25 at 6pm.

* Temporary closure of Back Salt Street in Manningham for gas works to be carried out. The order, in effect today from 8am until May 21 at 6pm, affects the length of Back Salt Street from its junction with Salt Street, at a point at the end of No. 161 Back Salt Street, to its junction with Salt Street, at a point at Laburnum Works.

No pedestrian access will be available and there will be no alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the order.

* Temporary closure of a public footpath at Ives Street in Shipley for water works to be carried out.

The order will affect the length of the footpath from its junction with Ives Street to a point at the canal towpath.

Alternative routes for pedestrians affected by the proposed order will be available via canal towpath, Salts Mill Road, Otley Road and vice versa.

The proposed order is in effect today from 8am until June 11 at 6pm.

* Temporary closure of Greentrees at Woodside, Bradford, for gas works to be carried out.

The order affects the length of Greentrees from a point outside no. 2 to a point outside no. 24.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and no alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the order will be available.

The order remains in force until May 28.

* Temporary closure of Ashgrove, Bradford, for gas works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Ashgrove from its junction with Lower Ashgrove to its junction with Morley Street/Easby Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Lower Ashgrove, Claremont Terrace, Morley Street and vice versa.

The order will be in force until May 14 at 6pm.
