A NUMBER of train services at Leeds Railway Station will be disrupted over the late May Bank Holiday due to improvement works.
National Rail is urging passengers to plan ahead as work begins to improve the track layout at the station over that long weekend.
The project is a complete remodel of the tracks between platforms four and six.
The first round of works involves installing new overhead line equipment and moving some of the signalling equipment.
For this work to be carried out safely, some of the platforms at Leeds station will be closed on Sunday, May 30.
This will happen after the last train on Saturday, May 29.
Buses will also replace some train services, with pick up and drop off on New Station Street.
People should continue to follow the latest Government guidance around the use of public transport and minimise the number of journeys they make where possible.
Passengers who need to travel are strongly advised to plan ahead and check their journey via National Rail Enquiries, with their train operator, or by following #MayBHWorks on Twitter.
