POLICE have launched an investigation in into how a major moor fire in the county was caused.
West Yorkshire Police announced it is to carry out a full investigation into the cause of the fire on Marsden Moor that has raged since Sunday.
It comes after West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (WYFRS) declared the blaze as a major incident.
Kirklees CID will be leading the investigation into the fire, which will be carried out in conjunction with the council’s investigation into a breach of the Public Space Protection Order.
