Three Bradfordians were fined a total of £1,220 for travelling to Wales to buy a vehicle during the Covid-19 lockdown.
The trio were all sentenced at Llanelli Magistrates Court late last year over breaches of Welsh coronavirus restrictions.
Richard Michael Nicholson, 33, of Odile Mews, BD16, was fined £660 on November 5 for travelling from West Yorkshire to Mid Wales to purchase a vehicle on May 10, 2020. He also had to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and costs of £85.
The other two men were fined by magistrates on October 30 over charges of travelling from Bradford to the Ceredigion area of Wales on May 18, 2020, in order to facilitate the picking up and purchasing of a vehicle.
Al Faisal Mukhtar, 34, of Ashbourne Haven, BD2, was fined £440 with a victim surcharge of £44 and costs of £90.
Hammad Mahboobb, 22, of Westfield Road, BD9, was fined £120 with a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £90.
At the time of the offences it was illegal under the Welsh regulations to leave or remain away from the place where you were living without a reasonable excuse.
