POLICE attended an incident where a child was knocked in Bradford Moor on Sunday.

Members of the Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team posted on Facebook: "We were first officers at the scene of a child knock down in Bradford Moor. The child was taken to hospital with what appears to be, non life-changing injuries."

The Yorkshire Ambulance Service said the accident took place just after 6pm on Granton Street. They also reported the child was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary.

The Bradford East officers said they had a busy day on Sunday, as they reported they had carried out a speed watch in Apperley Bridge targeting speeding and dangerous drivers.

They also reported seizing a car in East Bowling after a report from a member of public regarding drug dealing.

The vehicle was located and searched and a quantity of Class B drugs were seized. The vehicle was recovered.

They also seized a car in West Bowling after it failed to stop for police.

The Police National Computer showed that it had no insurance.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate and prosecute the driver.
