A MOTORCYCLIST suffered serious injuries in a crash yesterday and was flown to hospital by air ambulance.
Emergency services, including police, firefighters, paramedics and the air ambulance, were all scrambled to the scene on Tyersal Road, Tyersal.
West Yorkshire Police have now issued an appeal for witnesses to the crash, which happened at 5.15pm.
A spokesperson said: "A Keeway TX125 motorbike travelling towards the city centre overtook a Vauxhall Astra, also travelling in the same direction.
"The bike was then in collision with a parked Vauxhall Insignia car. The male rider was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries.
"Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have caught the incident on dash cam or CCTV to contact West Yorkshire Police Safer Roads and Neighbourhoods Support Teams by calling 101, quoting incident number 1313 of 22/4."
