A CLEAN-up operation has been carried out after a group of travellers vacated an encampment on a public footpath between Gaisby Lane and Poplar Road in Shipley.
The travellers set up camp on the Canal Road Greenway, which is popular with cyclists and walkers, on Monday, April 5, and recently left the site.
Keighley Tree Services were seen clearing the site this week.
A spokesperson for Bradford Council said: “The travellers have moved on from the site and a clear-up of the site has been carried out.
"Temporary measures to secure the path have been put in place so that the cycle-route can be re-opened and action is being taken to create a more permanent security solution to try and prevent similar incidents in the future.”
