A COURT date has been set for a lockdown-defying salon owner.
In January, Kirklees Council said it had started a prosecution case against Sinead Quinn (above) who owns Quinn Blakey Hairdressing in Oakenshaw, after she failed to pay the Fixed Penalty Notices issued to her.
They were given after she opened the salon when she was not allowed to do so under Covid-19 rules.
The Council has now confirmed the case is listed for August 13 at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court.
They said the potential consequence, if guilty, is an unlimited fine.
Ms Quinn has hit the headlines on a number of occasions for her stance on lockdown, most recently when she spoke of her refusal to wear face masks or PPE. Picture: PA
