‘ENTHUSIASTIC new operators’ are being sought to take on the Cross Keys pub at East Marton, near Skipton.
The pub and restaurant, which has been empty for more than a year, is alongside the A59 between Skipton and Gisburn, overlooks the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, and is close to the Pennine Way.
It is being offered on behalf of the Wellington Pub Company on a new ‘free of tie’ lease, which means the tenant is free to buy beer and other products wherever they like, and not just from a nominated supplier.
Alistair McDowell of Ilkley based Atkinson Associates, said:"Rarely does a site of this calibre come to the market. This is a very significant opportunity, an appealing property with many attractive features - high capacity bar and dining areas including potential for functions.
“The Cross Keys is a well-known and formerly very popular drive-out or destination business alongside the Leeds and Liverpool canal, offering extensive character accommodation with the added benefit of extensive outside drinking and dining areas and parking areas – simply awaiting its rejuvenation by enthusiastic new operators.”
