TWO arrests were made after a stolen vehicle failed to stop for police before smashing into a wall.

PC Claire Gray, a roads policing officer, said the car was seen in Dewsbury and failed to stop.

It then crashed into a wall in Mirfield and the two people inside "made a run for it".

With a team effort between West Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit and its Police Dog Support Unit they were both arrested.

The car has also been recovered for CSI examination, PC Gray said.
