BRADFORD is home to one of the most affordable private boarding schools in the UK, a new study has discovered.

PoundToy has revealed the most affordable schools, along with the most expensive ones as well as how much you need to earn to send your child there.

Clayton's all girls school Jaamiatul Imaam Muhammad Zakaria places second with boarding fees per term coming in at £984.

For the year, it is £2,952, while £44,395 is the estimated household income required if you would like to your child to go there.

Dewsbury's all boys school Institute of Islamic Education takes third spot with fees at £1,200 per month and £3,600 annually.

Meanwhile, the cheapest boarding school is the Abrar Academy in Garstang who charge £834 per term for students.

The most expensive private school is Cherwell College Oxford, which charges its boarding pupils £19,000 per term. It works out as £58,500 a year - in order to send your child here you would need a minimum average income of just under £100,000.

Locations of the most expensive boarding schools are certainly concentrated in the south of England, as all but one of the top thirty most expensive are located in that area.

Eton and Harrow have produced 33 former Prime Ministers, including the current incumbent Boris Johnson, yet these two famous schools are ranked down in 25th and 26th respectively, with them both charging just over £14,000 per term.
