A BRADFORD TV doctor says people may need a Covid booster jab after having their two vaccines.
Dr Amir Khan was reacting to comments made by Dr Albert Boula, chief executive of Pfizer, that people may need a booster six to 12 months after having the second vaccine.
Dr Khan says it may be necessary for people to have a booster vaccine to avoid a potential surge in cases this winter.

Speaking on today's Good Morning Britain, he said: “Dr Boula, he was speaking yesterday, and he said we may well need a booster jab after the second dose between 6 and 12 months after getting that dose really.
“We don't know how long immunity or protection lasts after having the vaccine.'
“Studies have shown with the Pfizer vaccine says it lasts about six months. Always a worry about variants and coming in and becoming a dominant variant in this country.
“We just don’t want to see a winter surge in cases.”
