A BRADFORD county lines drug dealer who brought cocaine and heroin into Skipton has been given a two-year suspended jail sentence.

Shamraze Ul-Hassain, 30, of Freshfield Gardens, Allerton, must also take part in a nine-month drug treatment programme and report to court every month when his suspended sentence will be reviewed.

Ul-Hassan was arrested in Skipton in February 2019 when officers seized a package of drugs that had been dropped on the floor at a sports centre in Skipton.

Enquiries led officers to arrest Ul-Hassan when they seized £377 in cash and a mobile phone.

During a search of Ul-Hassan’s Bradford home, officers recovered £555 cash and suspected drugs paraphernalia.

After initially pleading not guilty to four charges, on February 23, 2021, he changed his plea to guilty in relation to two counts of possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply and two counts of possessing heroin with intent to supply. He was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on April 8.
