SHOPPERS have been forming queues in Bradford city centre again today as they race to grab a bargain after shops reopened yesterday.

There were vast queues yesterday morning outside Primark in the Kirkgate shopping centre, and Debenhams at the Broadway, on the first day shops reopened since lockdown, and it was the same again this morning.

People were lining up for a second day in a row to shop at the two popular stores.

Following the collapse of Arcadia last year the historic department store has been liquidated with all stores closing for good, and there is currently an 'everything must go' sale at the shop.

People have been quick to bag a bargain at the store; forming long queues snaking out of the shopping centre to get in and see what they can find.

The same has happened at Primark; the retailer famous for its very cheap clothing has had a very limited online presence in the past and people were keen to get back in to upgrade their wardrobes.

Yesterday, there were huge queues around the city centre as people rushed back to shops, as well as pubs and restaurants, after months of businesses being closed in lockdown.
