A BRADFORD gym owner said it is "amazing" to reopen after months of closure due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
The industry is one which has been hit particularly hard during the course of the pandemic.
Terry Holt, who runs the Pride Gym in Low Moor, has put the plight of gyms in the spotlight over the past year, highlighting both the devastation of repeated closures on those who own gyms and the impact on members' mental and physical health.
After more than three months, he's over the moon to be back open again.
He said today: "It’s been amazing, members are delighted and happy to start making progress on their fitness.
"So many are mentioning how they struggled to get motivated at home and/or be able to do the right exercises with no kit.
"We’ve been really busy but also everyone is sticking to the rules, respecting social distance and sanitising anything they touch so that’s also reassuring to see.
"Nobody wants to go back into lockdown that’s for sure."
He added: "Personally it's been brilliant to see staff back full time, enjoying what they do and helping members along."
