A SCIENTIST has warned over a third wave of Covid in areas including West Yorkshire on the eve of the re-opening of many services.
Tomorrow sees pubs, non-essential shops among the services set to re-open in the latest phase of the easing of the lockdown and restrictions by the government.
Speaking to the Observer newspaper, Dr Stephen Griffin, of the University of medical school, says there are areas in West Yorkshire among other regions that still have high Covid infection rates.
He added many people who live in these areas are unable to self-isolate for the required number of days.
Dr Griffin says this issue needs to be tackled urgently, or risking another wave of the virus.
