NEW figures have revealed how hard it is to pass your driving test in Bradford.

The city’s two test centres at Heaton and Thornbury saw less than half of learners achieve a pass last year.

New figures released by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency show the number of drivers who have passed their test over the last year.

The numbers of tests conducted in 2020/21 was also far below previous years because of the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown.

Only 3,879 tests were carried out at Bradford’s two test centres at Heaton and Thornbury in the past year - down from more than 12,790 in the 12 months before (from April 2019).

The figures show that just 49.8 per cent of all learners passed their practical test at the Heaton centre between April 2020 and December 2020.

Meanwhile, the figures show that just 48.5 per cent of all learners passed their practical test at the Thornbury centre between April 2020 and December 2020.
