A NUMBER of buildings in Bradford city centre were lit in purple last night to mark the death of the Duke of Edinburgh.

Sites including Bradford Council’s headquarters, City Hall, and the Alhambra Theatre went purple to remember Prince Philip, who died aged 99 on Friday.

The Council tweeted images of the buildings and flags also flew at half mast in the city centre.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral will be held on Saturday, April 17 at 3pm with 30 members of the Royal family, including the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, due to attend.
