ONE of the services many of us have been waiting for over the last few months will make a welcome return on Monday - hairdressers and barbers.

Last-minute preparations are being made at salons and shops across the Bradford district ahead of tomorrow, as people look to get their lockdown hair cut or styled.

One such business is Shipley barbers Lambert & Co. The Bingley Road site opened for the first time in September last year and has had a frustrating spell since, only being able to be open to customers for three months due to the lockdown restrictions.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Staff will be following all of the guidelines, wearing masks and visors, disinfecting equipment between customers and haircuts will be arranged by appointment only.

Alex Lambert, owner of Lambert & Co, says his barbers is fully booked up with appointments next week and he himself will be one of their first customers for a haircut tomorrow.

He said: "It's quite exciting. It's been a long time coming.

We only took the business on last September and we've only been able to open three months since then. It's a weird one. It has been frustrating, but it makes it exciting to be back

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

"We have managed to take an extra staff member on recently too.

"We have been quite social media savvy while we've been closed."

Lambert & Co was renamed “Lambert & Mo” for the month of November last year, as they teamed up with Salt Beer Factory in support of Movember, to raise awareness of men’s health issues.
