BRADFORD Council community testing teams will be back out across the district this weekend handing out home testing kits to help people get tested for Covid-19.

The team will be knocking on doors offering free tests, to help get a better understanding of the virus and bring infections down.

The Council asks people to "do their bit and get tested" if the teams knock on their door.

As usual, volunteers will be out in one area offering tests, and in another area will be driving community engagement ahead of a visit in a few days' time.

Today (Saturday, April 10), the home testing team will be conducting door to door in the Eccleshill council ward.

Tomorrow (Sunday, April 11), the home testing team will be in the Royds council ward, with community engagement for both days has yet to be announced by the council.

Volunteers will be wearing a purple volunteers vest, blue lanyard with an ID card, a face covering at all times, and be travelling in a saloon car displaying a Bradford Council parking permit and a sign labelled Bradford Council Community Work.
