CASH, drugs and guns were seized during two days of police action in the Holme Wood area.

Over the past few days, Police teams have conducted a series of warrants in Holme wood in an attempt to "disrupt criminality" in the area.

The operation was led by Bradford South NPT and supported by Bradford Programme Precision team and Operational support.

During the operations, officers stop searched a car with two men in it. They seized quantity of Class A drugs and cash and both males were arrested.

A warrant was executed and a man was arrested for possession with the intent to supply Class B drugs. Officers seized a large quantity of Cannabis and also two blank firing firearms.

Inspector Andy Thornton, of Bradford South NPT, said: “We have had a successful few days which has resulted in weapons, cash and drugs being seized and taken off the streets of the city.

“This operation is a direct response from us about concerns from local residents about criminality in the area and we hope that this proactive work will reassure the local community that we are committed to tackling crime and will take positive action to detain the perpetrators.

“I would also like to encourage anyone in the local community who has any information about crime or anti-social behaviour to come forward and speak to us.

"Community intelligence can be vital to us and we always act on information we are given.”
