THE Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer series finished with an all-star line-up.
The bakers had to tackle choux buns, financier cakes and a 3D cake showstopper where they are happy for their three challenges.
The contestants braving the tent last night were former Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle, TV presenters Anneka Rice and Ade Adepitan and comedian John Bishop.
Here is Sandy Docherty’s verdict of week five’s episode, as she wraps up her weekly Telegraph & Argus column for this series which has been online each Wednesday morning while the series has been on.

Sandy took part in the 2015 series and is the child protection and welfare officer at Titus Salt School in Baildon.
She said: “It was really good fun.
“They have had a fabulous group of people this series. They have all been up for the craic.
“They have picked some really good challenges. It has been some lovely escapism.
“It was great that Anneka Rice sent herself up a bit, running around looking for a white tent.

“The celebrities were all involved in the challenges. The choux buns were really good. It was a good test for them.
“The technical challenge to make little cakes, they were quite intricate to get them right. They were like little gold bars. It was not an easy thing for them to do and get them all the same size.
“It is an easy thing to make a chocolate cake, but it’s not an easy thing to make a tasty chocolate cake.
“I thought the designs in the showstopper were really good. Ade’s arena looking fabulous. Smarties for the crowd was fabulous.
“How John Bishop broke a glass bowl under the food mixer, I will never know. He said next time I will run a marathon instead of doing Bake-Off.
“The film about the lady who had cancer is the start and finish of what it’s all about. That did hit home.
Losing a loved one is so hard. Families should not have to go through this.

We have to work together to make a change and every penny of the money you donate to Stand Up To Cancer goes towards funding cancer research.
Rest in peace, dear Pauline. ❤️ #GBBO pic.twitter.com/ADwUJ5E50k
“If all it takes is making a few cakes, just do it.
“Biscuits are always a good thing to make if you want to make some money. Just do some baking as something to raise money and awareness.
“Anneka Rice being named star baker was fully deserved. Nadine was good, but not as involved as Anneka.
“Anneka was absolutely delighted with whatever she turned out.”
