THE NATIONAL Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopters and planes will be in the skies above Yorkshire more often in the coming months.
The force's dedicated air support team - which deploys aircrafts to help with a variety of police incidents - announced on Twitter today that it would be increasing activity over the next few months.
This is due NPAS North East training new Tactical Flight Officers and pilots.
The tweet said: "Neighbours and local residents. Over the next few months you may see an increase in activity as we train new Tactical Flight Officers and pilots."
NPAS North East aircrafts are primarily based at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, with the service being coordinated from the NPAS Operations Centre, at Carr Gate in Wakefield.
