THERE have been no further Covid-19-related deaths reported by hospitals in the Bradford district today, according to the latest NHS England figures.

No deaths were reported by any hospitals in the district for four days in a row, until Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported one death yesterday.

Today's update means that the total number of reported hospital deaths in the Bradford district still stands at 863 - 602 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 259 at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Nationally, a further 41 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 86,392.

Patients were aged between 30 and 98-years-old. All except five of them - who were aged between 70 and 93 - had known underlying health conditions.

Of the 41 deaths, the majority (14) were reported by hospitals in the South East.

Eight deaths were reported by hospitals in the North East & Yorkshire, six by hospitals in the Midlands, five by hospitals in the East of England, four by hospitals in the South West and two each by hospitals in London and hospitals in the North West.

The families of all patients have been informed.
