PEOPLE who stopped to assist a woman who suffered serious head injuries after falling in a Bradford road are being asked to get in touch with officers.

West Yorkshire Police is appealing for information about the incident, which took place between 7.30am and 8.30am on Allerton Road near Ladyhill Park, Allerton, on Wednesday, March 24.

A force spokesperson said the 84-year-old woman fell and sustained a head injury while crossing the road near the junction with Chapel Lane.

She sadly passed away in hospital on March 29.

Officers are carrying out enquiries on behalf of the coroner into the matter and believe the woman, who was wearing a knee length black ‘puffer’ type jacket and white beret type hat, was assisted at the roadside by residents.
