POLICE appeared to put dispersal orders in place to quell anti-lockdown protests which started at Centenary Square in Bradford this afternoon.
After chants shouting "freedom" and "no more masks" early on, the protestors heard speeches from organisers of The North Unites rally next to City Hall.
Shortly thereafter, protesters, some of which had children, spilled out into the surrounding streets with police attempting to contain them.
Police formed lines attempting pen in protesters and live video footage from the event showed them asking people to disperse.
Mounted police also had a presence during the protests.
The protest caused havoc for bus services.
First West Yorkshire recently tweeted: "Bridge St and Market St areas are heavily congested at the moment.
"This is having a significant impact on services and we are experiencing delays of over 20 minutes at present.
"We are so sorry for the inconvenience."
