THERE have been no further Covid-19-related deaths reported by hospitals in the Bradford district today, according to the latest NHS England figures.

It means the total number of hospital deaths in the Bradford district still stands at 860 - with 599 of those deaths reported by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 259 by Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and two by Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Nationally, a further 43 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 86,096.

Patients were aged between 47 and 94-years-old, and all except three of them - who were aged between 47 and 66 - had known underlying health conditions.

Of these 43 patients, 15 died at hospitals in the North West, 10 at hospitals in the North East & Yorkshire, six at hospitals in London, five at hospitals in the South East, four at hospitals in the East of England, two at hospitals in London and one at a hospital in the South West.

Their families have been informed.

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.

"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
