POLICE have reminded drivers that road tax "is as important as ever" despite a chaotic 2020, after seizing a car.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Leeds North West Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) stopped a blue Mazda in the Horsforth area on Wednesday.
Checks showed it had not been taxed since last September - half a year ago.
Police seized the car, as a result.
A spokesperson for the NPT said: "After a chaotic 2020, we understand that some drivers have put road tax, insurance and MOTs to the back of their minds.
"However, they are still mandatory and as important as ever.
"Please take five minutes to check that your vehicle's tax, insurance and MOT are all in-date."
