THERE have been a further two Covid-19 deaths recorded in hospitals in the Bradford district today.

The deaths, one at Bradford Teaching Hospitals and the other at Airedale, mean there have now been 860 hospital Covid deaths in the district.

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has now seen 599 deaths, while there have been 259 fatalities at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.

The number at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust remains two.

It comes as a further 69 Covid-19 deaths have been recorded in hospitals in England today, taking the total death toll to 85,890.

Patients were aged 37 to 97 years old, and all but two - aged 55 and 84 - had known underlying health conditions.

Yorkshire and the North East saw the most deaths reported today with 17, followed by the East of England with 13 and Midlands with 12.

Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has now recorded 926 deaths, Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust has seen 1,025, and at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust has reported 493.
