POLICE are investigating a malicious email which forced a Bradford school to shut its doors today.
Dixons Cottingley Academy was suddenly closed to all staff and pupils this morning.
A West Yorkshire Police statement read: "Police are investigating an incident of malicious communications and enquiries are ongoing.
"The police did not provide any directions to the school in respect of the closure."
A spokesperson from Dixons Academies Trust said: "The school received a malicious email and was closed as a precautionary measure on police advice.
"The site is secure and will open tomorrow as normal."
Dixons Cottingley tweeted: "The academy will be open for all students on Thursday, March 25.
"We look forward to seeing all our students back in the academy tomorrow."
