FOUR Bradford men were fined and sent home for travelling to Filey for a bonfire and "a few beers".
Officers from North Yorkshire Police caught the men at Filey Country Park, on the Yorkshire coast, last Saturday evening.
The men had made a journey of more than 80 miles, and just over an hour-and-a-quarter in travel time, to get there from Bradford in a Ford Focus.
The current Government rules still stipulate that you should not travel beyond your locality for daily exercise, or to visit a public outdoor place.
Police discovered the men had come to the park with the intention of having a bonfire and a few beers.
They were sent home and issued with fixed penalty notice fines (FPNs).
